Stitches of Love is a ministry of First Baptist Church. This group meets on Friday from 1pm-3pm. They make pillowcase dresses, t-shirt dresses (as seen worn by the little girl in the photo), and shorts and diapers from old t-shirts. Those items are sent with missionaries all over the world. They also make teddy bears for children in the hospital, chemo hats and pillows for cancer patients, blankets and quilts for Compassionate Care and Buckner's Children's Home. Knitted caps are sent to Accolade in Plainview. Every bit of fabric is used....even the scraps go to Broadway Treasures in Plainview to make paper.
