The First Baptist Church, Floyd City, later known as First Baptist Church, Floydada was organized in 1891. The church first met in the home of Joe Arnold in Floyd City. As the years passed, First Baptist Church has worshiped in school buildings, homes, and three different sanctuaries. After a fire destroyed much of the facilities in 2000, the current facilities were completed in 2003 which included a remodeled sanctuary and brand new education space, offices, library, and a fellowship center.
